Fast Diets Good Idea Or Bad Karma
Want to lose weight using a fast diet and need to know if it is a good idea? You have come to the right place to find out the facts.
We all want to lose weight fast. Not only that, we all want to do it as quick as possible and with the least work or mental, emotional and physical pain. The quick hit diet has become a very popular way for people to shed a few pounds, but does that also mean that losing weight quickly can be good for you in the long run? We look at the facts.
The Good.
It is a fact that our body weight changes over time, with our without the additional help of dieting or eating too much. This is just a fact of life. You are also heavier later in the day that you are in the morning, which is why it is a good idea to weigh yourself when you wake up, rather than just before bed. Losing a few inches or pounds quickly by using a method such as a 7 day soup diet will help you lose a small amount of weight.
This method is good for those of us who don’t want to get bogged down with weekly meetings at weight loss clubs or constant struggles with binge eating. If you feel that you are getting a little overweight, you can crash into a fast diet and lose a little which will make you feel much better.
The Bad.
However… But… (there is always a but). Choosing a rapid diet program over a proper controlled healthy eating program is most likely going to put you into the dreaded cycle of yo-yo dieting. As soon as you lose a little, it goes back on again as your eating habits return to normal and your body begins to compensate for the fat it has lost by storing it up for later use. Your body will suddenly be saying, hold on… where has all the food gone? I need this fat, I am going to store some here.. and there.. and here.
In the end, a fast diet will usually cause weight GAIN rather than loss over a longer period of time. We all know that getting rid of that belly is hard, but trust me, a proper program of eating healthy foods and exercise will reap better rewards than a fast diet that only delivers a temporary lift in your self esteem and a drop in your waistline.
